Shanghai Disney is now Open!

After five years of waiting and $5.5 Billion, Disney's Shanghai Resort is finally officially open.  The resort is made up of Disneyland, Disneytown, Wishing Star Park and two hotels (Shanghai Disneyland Hotel and Toy Story Hotel) over nearly 4 square kilometers.

The new park is the largest international park and includes many technological advances including revamps to many favorite rides, although some are missing.  One example are the magnetically controlled boats in the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.  The magnets allow the boats to spin or change direction to go backwards so visitors can have better views of the new animatronics.

The Storybook Castle is now the tallest and most interactive castle in any Disney park and includes restaurants and a salon for kids.

Disney Updates Wildlife Signs Around It's Resorts

A few days after a young boy died by drowning caused by an alligator in one of it's resorts, Disney is in the process of updating signs to show danger by snakes and alligators.  Along with the signs, temporary barriers are being constructed on their beaches, while it works on a more permanent solution.
